Honda Malaysia has officially introduced the updated 2026 Honda WR-V, bringing a series of equipment and styling changes to its compact SUV more than three years after the model first arrived locally in July 2023.
The biggest change to the lineup is the reduction from four variants to three, with the base S variant discontinued. The E now serves as the entry point, priced at RM94,900, while the V and RS cost RM98,900 and RM104,900 respectively.
Interestingly, all three variants are now cheaper than their original launch prices, with reductions of RM1,000 for the E and V, and RM3,000 for the RS.
Under the bonnet, the WR-V continues with the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder i-VTEC engine, producing 121 PS and 145 Nm. Power is sent to the front wheels through a CVT, with a claimed top speed of 160 km/h.
Exterior changes are relatively subtle. The RS now gets an all-black grille instead of the previous chrome chequered design, while all variants receive 17-inch black alloy wheels. The range also gains a new RS-exclusive two-tone Blazing Red Pearl exterior with a black roof.
Inside is where the more noticeable upgrades can be found. The previous 7-inch Display Audio system has been replaced by a 10-inch touchscreen across the range, now supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The dashboard also receives new Dark Steel accents.
The top-spec RS gains several additional features, including red ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charging and a 360-degree camera. The V and RS also receive leather upholstery, with blue stitching on the V and red stitching on the RS.
The entry-level E remains equipped with features such as remote engine start, keyless entry and start, a 4.2-inch multi-information display, manual air-conditioning, four speakers, four airbags, a reverse camera and Honda LaneWatch.
Honda Sensing continues to be offered from the E variant onwards, bringing features such as autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, auto high beam and lead car departure notification.
The V adds LED exterior lighting, leather steering wheel and centre armrest, automatic air-conditioning and a six-speaker audio system. Meanwhile, the RS further adds sequential front turn signals, black door handles, paddle shifters, six airbags and Honda Connect telematics.
All versions of the 2026 Honda WR-V come with a five-year, unlimited-mileage vehicle warranty, along with free labour service for up to five visits within five years or 100,000 km.
Honda Malaysia also continues to offer a selection of Modulo accessories, ranging from exterior spoilers and decals to dashcams, boot accessories, coatings and authorised window tint.
Since its Malaysian debut in 2023, Honda says more than 24,000 WR-V units have been registered on Malaysian roads, making the updated model an important part of the company’s local SUV lineup.
