Anker Unveils Next-Gen Earbuds Featuring AI Chip for Smarter Noise Reduction

Anker has officially introduced the latest addition to its Soundcore lineup, the new Liberty 5 Pro wireless earbuds. The biggest highlight is the debut of Anker’s newly developed Thus AI audio chip, first revealed earlier this year, which is designed to enhance active noise cancellation and improve voice pickup quality during calls in crowded or noisy surroundings. This also marks the first major update to the Liberty Pro series since the previous-generation model launched with a smart display integrated into its charging case.

Priced at $169.99, the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro is now available in black, white, blue, and pink. The charging case retains its touchscreen functionality, but Anker has redesigned it with a larger 0.96-inch display positioned externally for easier access. Users can quickly switch ANC modes, enable transparency mode, or adjust audio settings directly from the case without opening the app.

Battery life sees a slight reduction compared to its predecessor due to the inclusion of the AI chip, offering up to 6.5 hours of playback with ANC enabled, while the charging case extends total usage to around 28 hours. In return, Anker claims the upgraded AI system delivers significantly stronger noise cancellation performance — reportedly up to twice as effective as the Liberty 4 Pro. The chip also improves call clarity by filtering surrounding noise more efficiently and enables quicker responses to over 20 built-in voice commands, allowing users to control playback, volume, and ANC settings hands-free.

Alongside the Liberty 5 Pro, Anker also launched the higher-end Liberty 5 Pro Max, priced at $229.99 and offered in black and titanium gold finishes. While it shares the same IP55 dust and water resistance rating, battery endurance, and Apple Find My support as the standard model, the Max version introduces a much larger 1.78-inch AMOLED display built into the charging case.

Beyond playback controls and settings adjustments, the Liberty 5 Pro Max charging case can also function as a portable recording tool for meetings and conversations. Audio recordings are transferred to the Soundcore smartphone app, where AI-powered processing generates transcripts, identifies speakers, and highlights important action points automatically.
