Perodua has announced revised pricing for the 2026 Axia, making Malaysia’s popular entry-level hatchback more affordable across the lineup. The biggest reduction goes to the Axia 1.0 G, which now carries an on-the-road price of RM33,900 (excluding insurance), representing a substantial RM4,700 drop from its previous RM38,600 price tag.
Updated 2026 Perodua Axia prices:
- Axia 1.0 G – RM33,900 (RM4,700 lower)
- Axia 1.0 X – RM38,500 (RM1,500 lower)
- Axia 1.0 SE – RM43,000 (RM1,000 lower)
- Axia 1.0 AV – RM49,000 (RM500 lower)

According to Perodua, the lower prices are the result of improved operational efficiency rather than any reduction in equipment or features. The company said the Axia’s specifications remain unchanged, with the savings achieved through ongoing efforts to optimise production processes and reduce operating costs.
Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, said the price revision is part of the company’s initiative to help ease the financial burden faced by Malaysians amid current economic challenges. He added that the cost savings were made possible through close collaboration with local suppliers, vendors, and industry partners, allowing the benefits to be passed directly to customers.
Zainal also noted that Perodua’s continuous efficiency improvements have contributed not only to lower vehicle prices but also to reduced servicing costs, including revised pricing for the company’s QV-E and Battery as a Service (BaaS) programmes.

Mechanically, the Axia remains unchanged. Every variant continues to be powered by a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine producing 67 hp and 91 Nm of torque, paired with Perodua’s D-CVT automatic transmission driving the front wheels. The hatchback also retains its claimed fuel economy of up to 27.4 km/L.
For buyers looking for the most affordable option, the Axia 1.0 E remains available at RM22,000 (on-the-road, excluding insurance). Based on the previous-generation Axia, the E variant continues to be offered exclusively with a five-speed manual transmission, making it the lowest-priced new Perodua model currently on sale.
