<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nThe biggest changes, however, are not immediately visible from the outside. Underneath, Volvo has upgraded the EX90 to an 800-volt electrical architecture<\/strong>, bringing significant improvements to both performance and charging capability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The dual-motor setup now produces 680 hp and 870 Nm<\/strong>, allowing the large seven-seater to accelerate from 0\u2013100 km\/h in just 4.2 seconds<\/strong>. That is 170 hp more than before, although maximum torque is actually 40 Nm lower. As with other current Volvo models, top speed remains electronically limited to 180 km\/h<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Power comes from a 106 kWh NCM battery<\/strong>, giving the EX90 an official 617 km WLTP driving range<\/strong>. While this is slightly below the previous model’s 623 km figure, charging performance has taken a major step forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n AC charging remains available at up to 11 kW<\/strong>, while DC fast charging now supports up to 350 kW<\/strong>, compared with 250 kW previously. Volvo claims the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in around 22 minutes<\/strong>, down from approximately 30 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n Visually, the updated EX90 remains largely unchanged. The most noticeable difference is the removal of the roof-mounted LiDAR sensor<\/strong>, while the rest of the SUV retains its clean and minimalist design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A new Mulberry Red<\/strong> exterior colour has also been added, bringing the total choice to five colours alongside Vapour Grey, Crystal White, Sand Dune and Onyx Black.<\/p>\n\n\n Standard equipment includes pixel LED matrix headlights, LED tail lights, concealed door handles, soft-close doors, 21-inch eight-spoke glossy black diamond-cut wheels, a hands-free powered tailgate, NFC and mobile key functionality, as well as an electrochromic panoramic sunroof.<\/p>\n\n\n Inside, Volvo has largely carried over the EX90’s minimalist Scandinavian cabin. Malaysian buyers can choose between Charcoal Nappa leather with Light Ash trim<\/strong> or Cardamom Nappa leather with Brown Ash trim<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The cabin is equipped with powered front seats featuring adjustable side bolsters and four-way lumbar adjustment, while the front seats also offer ventilation and massage functions. Other highlights include a head-up display, wireless smartphone charging, a Bowers & Wilkins high-fidelity surround sound system and four-zone automatic climate control.<\/p>\n\n\n The infotainment system continues to use a 14.5-inch portrait touchscreen<\/strong> running Google Android Automotive OS, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. A nine-inch digital driver display is positioned ahead of the driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For luggage space, the EX90 provides 310 litres<\/strong> with all three rows in use. Folding the third row increases capacity to 665 litres<\/strong>, while folding both the second and third rows opens up as much as 1,900 litres<\/strong>. There is also additional storage beneath the bonnet for items such as charging cables.<\/p>\n\n\n One of the most significant upgrades is found within the EX90’s electronic architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Instead of relying on the previous LiDAR-based setup, the updated model features an Nvidia Drive AGX Orin<\/strong> computing platform capable of up to 500 TOPS<\/strong>, twice the computing performance of the previous 250-TOPS system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This additional processing power supports a range of advanced driver-assistance functions. One of the key additions is Emergency Stop Assist<\/strong>, which can bring the vehicle to a controlled stop when the system detects that the driver may be incapacitated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Volvo has also improved its automatic emergency steering system, particularly for situations involving reduced lighting, while the Park Pilot Assist<\/strong> system has been refined to improve the vehicle’s ability to perform parallel parking.<\/p>\n\n\n The updated Volvo EX90 is priced at RM428,888 OTR without insurance<\/strong> and comes with a five-year unlimited-mileage vehicle warranty<\/strong> together with an eight-year\/160,000 km battery warranty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For the launch, Volvo Car Malaysia is offering the first 100 EX90 customers a RM25,000 rebate<\/strong> plus a complimentary Volvo wallbox valued at RM3,990.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With the rebate applied, the effective purchase price drops to RM403,888<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n Volvo Car Malaysia has officially introduced the updated fully electric Volvo EX90 in Malaysia, with the seven-seat SUV now offered in a locally assembled (CKD) specification.
